VINEYARDS
Less stress. Healthy vines. Better wine.
An Elicitor of the Phenylpropanoid Pathway
Primazest + Agrizest for Vineyards
A New Zealand-made vineyard programme that supports vine health, stress resilience and fruit quality from early growth through to harvest — helping growers produce stronger vines, better fruit and better wine.
Primazest is the early-season foundation. It activates the phenylpropanoid pathway to help vines respond to stress, repair damage and build the natural compounds that support crop quality. Agrizest then carries that response through the season, supporting the key stages that influence fruit development and wine outcomes.
Why Kiwi Vineyards Use Our Programme
Vineyards face constant pressure from weather, disease, crop load and seasonal stress. This programme helps vines respond more effectively to stress, recover faster and stay on track for premium fruit production and wine quality.
Key Benefits
-

Greater resilience through stress periods
-

Reduced damage from biotic and abiotic stress
-

Improves fruit quality and consistency
-

Better returns from premium fruit
-

Supports flavour development and wine-quality potential
Not a fertiliser.
Not a hormone.
Not a generic biostimulant.
An Elicitor of the Phenylpropanoid Pathway
Primazest and Agrizest are liquid sprays that strengthen the vine’s repair, growth and defence system. Primazest and Agrizest elicit (or trigger) the production of naturally occurring bioactive compounds (phenylpropanoids) including those responsible for tissue repair, stronger cell structure, colour, flavour and stress resilience.
The Zest Difference
Developed, tested and proven in New Zealand for New Zealand growing conditions
Used by leading growers for over 15 years.
Why it Matters for Wine
In vineyards, the goal is not just more fruit — it is better fruit for better wine. Agrizest trial work has shown improved yield via larger berries, better wine-quality characteristics and increased flavour-related thiols, while also reducing damage from pest, disease and environmental stress.
The Vineyard Programme
This programme must be used at key stages of vine development, when vines are under pressure and when fruit quality is being established.
Fits your existing spray programme
Compatible with standard inputs (do not mix with copper or hormone products)
No wetting agent required
A simple programme, proven in Kiwi vineyards.
🌱 Primazest (Strong Foundation)
Encourages strong canopy establishment
Reduces stress from early spring conditions (cold/wind/frost)
Supports energy production during early growth
Timing: 2-leaf stage → pre-flowering
+
🍇Agrizest (Health & Quality)

Backed by Science
There is no other product just like Agrizest. The technology was developed by us and has been tested and proven across multiple districts, seasons and crops, including vineyards.
Agrizest is a new kind of technology — an elicitor of the phenylpropanoid pathway — designed to help vines deliver a step-change in productivity, fruit quality and wine quality potential.
Phenylpropanoids are naturally produced by all plants and play a key role in vine health and fruit development. In vineyards, they contribute to important quality traits such as tannins for defence and wine quality, lignin and suberin for stronger cell walls and better fruit resilience, flavonoids for flavour development, and anthocyanins for colour. They also support the plant’s repair, growth and defence systems, helping vines recover from stress and maintain quality through the season.
Phenylpropanoids support the repair, growth and defence systems of plants.
The science of phenylpropanoids and the plant response to Agrizest is covered in our paper which has been published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal https://rdcu.be/cGRgc.
